Tool catalog

There are 34 shipped appenda.* tools on the desktop agent gateway. The live list is assembled from gateway description modules (not a separate tool_registry.rs yet).

These tools power both the in-app Agents panel and Connect with MCP. Same names, same schemas, different transport.

Start here

  1. appenda.list_tables
  2. appenda.table_profile
  3. appenda.count_rows with a FilterSpec

Buckets

  • Exempt: health, list_tables
  • Reads: table_profile, table_query_plan, table_window, search_cells, count_rows, group_counts
  • Rows: delete_rows (dry-run default)
  • Views / schema / layout: view CRUD, set_active_query, field create / rename / delete / reorder / visibility, create_table
  • Integrations: preview / execute, enrichment column, list import start / status / stop

Not shipped (do not call)

insert_rows, update_rows, get_rows, list_commits, restore/fork tools.

Paid runs (integration.execute, run_enrichment_column) need a preview intent and a separate approval.
